A comedic reimagining of the 1920 silent Western The Toll Gate, live-scored by pianist Justin Sherburn and violinist Leigh Mahoney of Montopolis performing the traditional tango arrangements of Austin composer Glover Gill. Film is preceded by a beginner's tango dance lesson and a "milonga," the traditional Argentine social dance. Bring blankets/chairs; it's GA lawn seating.
Friday, July 11, 7pm. $20 for screening; $10 for tango lesson and social dance.
