    Keep Austin Beautiful Day

    Each April, Keep Austin Beautiful mobilizes hundreds of volunteers for an impressive day of community service. This year, they're encouraging individuals and members of the same household to remove litter from their favorite neighborhood spots, and are offering a limited number of free cleanup kits. To kick off the day, they'll be hosting an interactive Facebook Live from 9-10am that will include exciting incentives, family fun activities, and much more.

      2021 Bowl for Kids

      Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas is bringing glitz and glamour to their annual fundraiser. The goal is to raise funds to put 80 kids into a caring match with an adult mentor, and you can participate from home by donating, forming or joining a fundraising team, and via online activities including a "Golden Age of Hollywood" costume contest.

      Led by Suzy Turner of Soulshine Rhythm Experience, a drum and rhythm facilitator trained in HealthRhythms, which has been shown to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, and boost creativity and bonding.       After shifting to a virtual faire last year, the Renaissance faire is back, live and in person, with over 170 artisans and 150 performances each day.       Vehicle Registration Deadline Approaches

      The grace period for vehicle registration renewal and title applications will soon end, and missing the deadline can result in costly fines. If you've postponed these activities due to the pandemic, now is the time to act: Get your vehicle inspected and renew online at Texas.gov, or bring your DMV renewal form, passing inspection, insurance card, and payment to H-E-B, Fiesta Mart, or AAA. Title applications require appointments to be made at the Travis County Tax Office, and they fill up fast, so don't wait!

      United Way of Williamson County's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is offering free drop-off/pickup tax preparation service by appointment only. IRS-certified tax preparers will provide assistance to households earning $57,000 or less annually and to older adults of all income levels, and services are available in English and Spanish.
