    Black Austin Tour

    Civil Righteousness Austin presents a tour led by master storyteller and local historian Javier Wallace. Learn about the city's 1928 Master Plan and creation of the "Negro District," centered around East 11th Street, and virtually visit important sites and institutions and engage in dialogue about the changing nature of East Austin and the city's Black community.

    MLK Day of Service

    United Way for Greater Austin invites you to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by taking a self-guided walking tour through the city, taking a virtual tour of Dr. King's childhood home, listening to his "I Have a Dream" speech, and participating in an at-home activity. Then gather virtually at 10am Mon., Jan. 18, for a moment of community reflection led by Dr. Kazique Prince.

    AHS Car Raffle

    You could win a Mazda Miata convertible through the 17th annual Austin Humane Society car raffle powered by Roger Beasley Mazda. Each ticket provides one night of safe and warm shelter, nutritious food, quality medical care, and lots of love for a cat or dog who is waiting to find a home.

    Austin Humane Society's Puppy Bowl XIV Tailgate Competition is officially underway! Andrea's Eats, Jo's Coffee, Austin Daily Press, and Yard Bar each compete with a tasty treat – and they're donating a percentage of sales to AHS. Try them all, and vote for your fave in the Facebook poll. The winning bite will be announced during the Puppy Bowl on Feb. 6.
