    Lifeguarding in Austin

It may be freezing at the moment, but soon enough the city's pools will be struggling to staff up for warmer weather. The parks department is actively recruiting and training candidates age 15 and up, and they emphasize that minimum wage is now $20 per hour, lifeguards get free training and a free uniform, and there's a $400 training stipend for staff who complete a certain number of work hours during the swim season. Staff also get a free Cap Metro pass. Apply now to start working or training for summer now.
