  • The Amazing Acro-Cats: Keep It Weird in Austin!

    The Acro-Cats tour supports Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Rock Cats Rescue is focused on saving cats "One Click at a Time" through cat welfare, rescue, and adoption. The Acro-Cats show promotes the importance of bonding and training cats with positive reinforcement, while also finding homes for rescued cats.

    For a paw-some summer, register your li'l animal lover for AHS's virtual, hands-on educational sessions, including live shelter tours, dog walks, storytime with shelter pets, crafts, and dance sessions.     Battle of the Badges

    The Austin Police Department, Austin-Travis County EMS, and Austin Fire Department will “battle” it out to see who can recruit the most blood donors; the department to receive the most votes via donors is declared the winner. Donors cast their vote for their favorite first responder and receive a limited-edition “Battle of the Badges 2021” T-shirt. Schedule an appointment online or call 512/206-1266.

    APA! Pours for Pets

    Austin Pets Alive! puts the "fun" in "fundraiser" this month: For $40, you can purr-chase a passport to use participating locations throughout July, and at each stop, pick up a coffee, beer, glass of wine, or even a refreshing agua fresca. The nonprofit animal shelter is partnering with Austin favorites like Irene’s, Hank’s, Cosmic Coffee, Yard Bar, and more, and proceeds go to pets in need.
