    Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

    The 95th running of the Texas Relays brings thousands of athletes and spectators to Austin for four days of track and field events. Fans can attend free on Wednesday and Thursday, but tickets are required Friday and Saturday. Attendees, please note the stadium has a clear bag policy.
    Wed.-Sat., March 29-April 1. $25-40, all-meet tickets; $18-28 for Fri. & Sat. meets.

      Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas' Bowl for Kids

      Saved by the Bowl! Join Big Brothers Big Sisters on a trip back to the Nineties for its 40th annual fundraiser, including a weekend of bowling, food, drinks, costumes, and killer door prizes. Lead-up events include a Spazmatics concert at Speakeasy (March 29, 8pm) and a trivia night at Lustre Pearl East (April 11, 8pm); get details and tickets for those online. Funds raised will support the org's mission to provide caring, adult mentors for children who need them.

      Easter Bunny Photos at Barton Creek Square

      Find the Bunny Photo Experience in the mall near Cheesecake Factory to get pics with the Easter Bunny. Bring pets along Sun., March 19, 6-8pm, where the Austin Humane Society will get part of the proceeds and will bring adoptable kittens. Kids with special needs are welcome for a sensory-friendly experience Sun., March 26, 10-11:30am.

      Emergency Preparedness Calendar Contest

      The city's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will feature student artwork in the 2024 Emergency Preparedness Calendar. Central Texas students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to create art to be considered for the calendar, which will be distributed at libraries and available for download online.

      Fresh for Less Mobile Markets

      This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.
