  • The Amazing Acro-Cats: Keep It Weird in Austin!

    The Acro-Cats tour supports Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Rock Cats Rescue is focused on saving cats "One Click at a Time" through cat welfare, rescue, and adoption. The Acro-Cats show promotes the importance of bonding and training cats with positive reinforcement, while also finding homes for rescued cats.

    Other Worlds Film Festival's eighth annual screenwriting contest, part of its mission to encourage work in science fiction and horror, is accepting submissions. New this year is the "under 18" category for young'uns starting to learn the craft. Early-bird deadline is March 31; entry fees increase with each following deadline (each month until August).

    We Are Blood's "Giving Double" Campaign

    We Are Blood is rewarding blood and platelet donors with a special opportunity to double the good of a donation. With each visit, donors can choose to donate $5 to either Central Texas Food Bank or Austin Humane Society, and We Are Blood will send all the proceeds to the orgs in July.     YMCA Early Learning Readiness Program

    A free community program for qualifying low-income families that focuses on preparing children ages 2-4 for school, while providing their caregivers with the tools to facilitate their child’s development. Classes are offered twice a week in English and Spanish and last one hour.
