    Celebrate trees, butterflies, and all creatures, plus at Pop-Up Events across the city. The Roots & Wings Festival is Austin's largest (and only) combined celebration of Arbor Day and Monarch Appreciation Day. Fun for all ages, including a butterfly tent, tree climb, and more!   • 32nd Annual Hogeye Festival

    Held in historic downtown Elgin, an award-winning community: a Texas Main Street City since 1990 and a recognized National Main Street Commuinty since 1999. The Elgin Main Street Board promotes the Hogeye Festival with the proceeds benefiting Downtown Revitalization. With attendance of over 20,000 people, it has proven to be one of Elgin's (and the media's) favorite (free!) festivals. Featuring live music & entertainment on three stages, The Peterson Brothers, handmade arts and crafts, children’s activities, carnival, Car Show, BBQ Pork Cook-Off, Cow Patty Bingo, Corn Hole & great food! Bands Max Zimmet– Hot Pickin’ 57’s, Possums in the Fridge, Rian C. Band, Monty Thomas Family Band, The Gypsy Drifters, Fenix Theory, Nathan Colt Young.
