Preservation Austin: Homes Tour

The annual event returns, with a virtual tour of the Rogers-Washington-Holy Cross neighborhood in East Austin, the city’s first historic district celebrating Black heritage. This year’s video exploration will feature the homes and stories of some of the 20th century’s most significant Austinites, including that of Tuskegee airman Norman Scales, former Huston-Tillotson president Dr. John Q. Taylor King and his roster of esteemed house guests, Ira Poole and his iconic collection of yard art Americana, and many more.
