SAGE Studio: Ike E. Morgan

SAGE Studio presents a solo exhibition of work by acclaimed outsider artist Ike E. Morgan in partnership with Waxahachie's Webb Gallery. Morgan, born in 1958 in Rockdale, Texas, was diagnosed with severe schizophrenia and was hospitalized from 1977 until 2000 at the Austin State Hospital, where he first painted George Washington from a dollar bill. He now lives independently and paints every day, still focusing his work on Washington and other presidents, though occasionally painting other subjects that cross his mind.
Past date: Reception: Thu., Nov. 14, 6-8pm
