The Latino Comedy Project: Gentrifucked

After sold-out performances from Austin to San Francisco, Emmy-nominated sketch troupe the Latino Comedy Project returns with an encore presentation of their acclaimed show Gentrifucked, once again hilariously attacking the causes and consequences of gentrification as it affects Austin and communities across America.

The LCP asks: What happens when a community’s piñata shops are demolished and replaced with cat-friendly vegan coffeehouses? When neighborhood pulgas are transformed overnight into luxury condos? Or when Mexicans are replaced with obsessively dog-walking paddleboard enthusiasts?

Through a bright mix of live sketches, music, and original videos, the LCP provides all the hard answers and leaves no one – no one! – unscathed. Directed by Adrian Villegas, the cast of writer-performers also includes Cindy Brio, Omar Gallaga, Thelma Rosana, Mical Trejo, and Nick Walker.

No events scheduled.
