Pop-Up Magazine: Winter 2018

Well, okay, we'll stash this event in Theatre, too – because it's performed onstage and it's not dancing. But what it is, is a series of live, multimedia-enhanced presentations. Like a really good print magazine come to life, is the idea. Featuring The Nod podcast's Brittany Luse and Eric Eddings on "Black History Art" painting; filmmaker Veena Rao on the lifelong friendship between two 100-year-old World War II army nurses; National Geographic photographer David Guttenfelder on the crisis in North Korea; and photojournalist Kirsten Luce on life on the Texas/Mexico border (scored by Austin's own Adrian Quesada). RECOMMENDED!
