Auditions: Single Black Female

Ground Floor Theatre is holding auditions for Single Black Female written by Lisa B. Thompson, to be directed by Matrex Kilgore. This is a two-woman show with rapid-fire comic vignettes exploring the lives of thirtysomething African American middle-class women in urban America as they search for love, clothes, and dignity in a world that fails to recognize them amongst a parade of stereotypical images. Prepare a monologue; be ready to read from the script; bring a resume and headshot. Note: The show is cast without consideration to ability, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, or shape unless specifically called for in the script.
