    FronteraFest 2023

Austin's longest-running and most beloved performance festival returns after a two-year pandemic hiatus, presenting the work – maybe cheesy, maybe brilliant, maybe goofy, maybe badass, always unique – of actors, artists, poets, dancers, and performers of all types from Austin and Texas and beyond. This final week is reserved for Best of the Fest, the very cream of the theatrical crop. NOTE: See Brenner's FronteraFest feature right here (and of course the Fest's website) for more information.
    Through Feb. 18. Tue.-Sat., 8pm. $20 and up.

    The Haunting of the Tavern

Current and former Esther’s Follies cast members, along with other Austin entertainers, transform into your favorite mystery-solving gang to solve The Haunting of the Tavern, with a different ending each night. Featuring a script by the Follies' Shaun Brannigan and original music by Doug Ewart, this darkling comedy brings a modern touch of nostalgia – and includes a three-course meal by the Tavern's chef Johnny Romo. We daresay: Jinkies!
    Tue., Feb. 21, 7pm. $80.
