The Face of Emmett Till
This is a true-to-life dramatization of the death of 14-year-old Emmett Till, a Chicago teenager who, while visiting relatives in Money, Miss., in August 1955, was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by two white men who claimed they wanted to teach him a lesson for whistling at a local white woman." This play chronicles the tragedy, its aftermath, and Emmett's mother's crusade for justice. The Three Musketeers
St. Ed's presents Megan Monaghan Rivas' new adaptation of the classic coming-of-age story inspired by the novel by Alexandre Dumas. It's set in a 17th-century France where men and women are equal in their ability to serve the crown. This regional premiere features local MVPs Marc Pouhé and J. The Chicago-based performance duo Genesis – Amanda Dunne Acevedo and Lindsey Barlag Thornton – experiment with exhaustion as a creative tactic through high-impact physical workouts, feats, tests, and challenges while supervised by a whistle-blowing referee.
