    The Dance Theatre of Harlem company tours internationally, presenting a powerful vision for ballet in the 21st century. The 17-member, multiethnic company performances include beloved classics, neoclassical works by George Balanchine and resident choreographer Robert Garland, and innovative contemporary works that use the language of ballet to celebrate African-American culture.

      This collection of three dance works honors longtime Austin philanthropist, Sarah Butler and Dr. Ernest Butler, presenting ​​the beauty of George Balanchine’s iconic neoclassical Serenade, the dynamic energy and vivid colors of Jessica Lang’s contemporary Garden Blue, and a world premiere of I Am the Monument by Stephen Mills.
