Supported by the City Cultural Arts Division and hosted by the Austin Chinese-American Network, this all-day celebration will feature food booths, cultural exhibits, kids' games, and dance and music performances.
Ballet Austin's Stephen Mills presents the international choreographic phenom Annabelle Lopez Ochoa in a showcase of some of her favorite works, including the luscious Requiem for a Rose, the all-male Sombrerisimo, and two intimate duets.
This is a dance/theatre piece exploring how people pursue intimacy – and variations thereof. The work is framed by Shen Jun's perspective as a Chinese man living in the United States, and his interest in human attraction, impulse, and decision making.
This celebration features local drag queens Scarlett Kiss, Cheeki Khant, and Sabel Scities performing with the Dance Project to songs by artists like Madonna and Lady Gaga. Also, local vendors selling paintings, pottery, temporary tattoos, and jewelry.
