Chorus Austin's Chamber Ensemble shares music inspired by conflict, exploring the possibility that each one of us can be responsible for creating a more peaceful and loving world for all of us.
Entitled “Double Bass Extravaganza” to honor the memory of young bass player, Draylen Mason, this program showcases a sextet for violin, two violas, cello, double bass, and piano by Felix Mendelssohn, and the popular “Trout” quintet of Franz Schubert. Featured performers are Stephanie Sant’Ambrogio (violin), Toby Blumenthal (piano), and principal players of the Austin Symphony Orchestra: Jonathan Rouse (double bass), Douglas Harvey (cello), Bruce Williams (viola), and Blake Turner (viola).
