The ASO presents the return of 2021 Kennedy Center honoree Midori, performing Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D Minor. Bookends for the program include a work by Dvořák's pupil – Joseph Suk's expressive Fantastické Scherzo – and Dvořák's own Symphony No. 3.
This glorious event from Craig Hella Johnson and his Grammy-winning Conspirare cohort, following quickly on Tuesday's performance of Margaret Bonds' Credo, features Benedict Sheehan’s Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom and includes the world premiere of the composer's new Credo movement with text of W. E. B. DuBois, commissioned for this concert.
