One of
the Fusebox Festival events that you might still be able to get reservations for –
maybe for Sunday, at least – is this
world premiere concert of
new pieces of music by seven celebrated international composers. Written for amplified cello and electronics, all pieces will be performed by the Kronos Quartet's
Jeffrey Zeigler. Co-curated by Zeigler and Austin's own
Graham Reynolds, these compositions are inspired by the practice of science – some of them even incorporate sounds sourced directly from research.
Sat., April 20, 8pm; Sun., April 21, 2 & 5pm. Free, but you need a reservation.
