    burst! is part of an ongoing investigation by Gesel Mason that seeks to reimagine our identities and create space for individual voices to impact our collective community. Using contemporary dance and movement techniques, burst! is developed as an extension of Mason's project Yes, And. This methodology works to unravel our current perceptions of self and society in search.

    Yes, this is that Anne Washburn-scripted, The Simpsons-go-postapocalypse brilliance that delighted audiences at St. Ed's a few years ago, now presented by a cadre of UT theatre students under the direction of Khristián Méndez Aguirre to "address the impact of environmental waste and abusive rehearsal practices to address a significant blind spot in contemporary American theatre: the intersection of environmental and social justice."
