This vibrant and immersive fine art and music festival has stood the test of time as Austin’s premier destination for high-quality art, live music, and artisan gifts for the holiday season, now in its 48th year. Three dozen musical artists are scheduled to perform, and almost 200 artists will have goods on display.

The Star Bandits present a showcase of six original short plays by Austin playwrights: Hang Man by Marcus Delzell; Treachery by Sarah Waddle; Do They Know We're Suffering? by Dalton Anderson; Attachment Theory by Juneid Mosaheb; Robin Hood vs. Dracula by Robbie Bland; and One Man Play by Max Freed.

Austin Shakespeare presents this staged reading of Henrik Ibsen's classic, adapted by Richard Nelson and starring Mark Pellegrino (of TV's Supernatural) as Dr. Tomas Stockman, "a scientist who becomes a standard bearer for the truth and eventually confronts his entire town."

Candlelight, sweet treble voices, and Victorian costumes make this 34-year Austin holiday tradition a fun event for all ages. Bonus: New women's ensemble Mosaic will share some selections with the girls, and sing a few songs from their own repertoire.

When you’re born on the Fourth of July like post-rock Roman candles Explosions in the Sky, a homegrown December tour launch repeats Christmas. Nearly two dozen dates currently closing in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong next spring, the End tour sold out its ACL Live opener but behold the second coming, knuckles on all those guitars now cracked and warmed up. The dunes fronting the instrumental quartet’s 13th overall long-player, End, capture the cosmonauts’ quest for ringing emotional resonance. “Ten Billion People” teams, midpoint “Peace or Quiet” erupts, and closer “It’s Never Going to Stop” persists.

Ventana Ballet and Red Nightfall Dance Theatre present an immersive, culturally inclusive, and whimsical twist on the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, showcasing classical ballet, Spanish Flamenco, Egyptian bellydance, traditional Chinese dance, and drag performance.

Lates: Newly restored in 4K, this visionary Black, queer British film from the director of Looking for Langston tells a story of hedonistic radio deejays and the mysterious murder of their friend, and features a soundtrack with music from Parliament-Funkadelic, X-Ray Spex, the Players Association, and more.

The Ani's house will be decorated for the holidays and they've curated a day of shopping and food trucks, all paired with roaring fire pits, festive cocktails, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and more.
