During Saturday's annular eclipse, the moon will partially cover the sun, creating “a ring of fire” around its outer edges. As the eclipse moves across Texas, the most complete covering of the sun will occur in a line beginning at the New Mexico border running roughly through Midland-Odessa to Corpus Christi at 10:16am and exiting over the Gulf of Mexico at 11:56am. The complete annular eclipse will be visible about 65 miles on either side of the center line. The light show begins for the central part of Texas at 10:23 with San Antonio seeing 100% of the ring of fire, Austin seeing 93% annularity, Waco, 89% coverage, and Dallas 86%. Never look at the sun without proper eye protection. Find more info in last week's "
