    "We Left the Camp Singing" (2022)

    Austin Jewish Film Festival presents a special event in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27), with a screening of an educational doc highlighting music in Czechoslovakia's Theresienstadt ghetto-camp and exclusive interviews with Holocaust survivors. Screening preceded by 8-minute short “The Record” and followed by a live-over-Zoom Q&A with director/producer Sofia Tapinassi.

    ATX Kids Club

    ATX Kids Club is on a mission to inspire youth to fearlessly explore and become independent, self-confident individuals through educational and health-minded adventures. Campers will explore Austin via Capital Metro to an educationally focused destination based on the theme of the week, enjoy a midday picnic lunch, and continue with an afternoon filled with more adventures. The camp aims to influence youth to expand their thinking and positively impact the world around them. Ages 4-12.
    May 30-Aug. 18. $425/week.

    Auditions: Sanctuary City

    Ground Floor Theatre is holding auditions for this Martyna Majok play – the story of two teenagers who were brought to America and must navigate the pressures of having an unstable home life – to be directed by Andrea Nuñez for performances in May, with rehearsals beginning in April. Ground Floor is seeking actors from backgrounds that are not of Western European origin/ethnicity, or from a country of greater liberalism than the United States, for roles of female-identified (age 17-21), male-identified (age 17-21), and one older dude.     Camiba Gallery: Existencia

    Be dazzled by recent work from artists Daniel Rodríguez Collazo and Edgardo Kerlegand in this exhibition that showcases both artists’ forms of expression as they relate to the human existence — one on the internal and physical forms of the human figure, the other on the forms that humans create and exist in.     Camp Explorasaur is back for a second summer and it’s gonna be a good one! If your kid likes nonstop adventure and lives for exploration, this is the place.: Campers will spend most of the day in and around water doing activities like hiking, fishing, kayaking, rope swinging, and making a daily pool trip. Kids will also explore food through cooking and tap into creative energies with nature-inspired art projects. The safety of all children is the No. 1 priority, so this is a safe place for LGBTQIA+ youth and their families. Ages 7-12.
