There's a somewhat familiar guest chef for this culinary event at Fall Creek Vineyards out in Driftwood: Cody Taylor, former owner of Austin's Cafe Josie, current kitchen maestro behind Industry in San Marcos, now bringing his acclaimed talents to a dinner with four wine-paired courses at this elegant Hill Country venue of viticulture. Shaved cucumber salad; smoked artichoke tomato bisque; smoked pork ribs; and a dessert taco (that's with a cereal brown sugar taco shell, chocolate mousse, salted cashews, raspberries, and white chocolate). And, ooooh, those Fall Creek wines!

The Spanish surrealist painter illustrated the cookbook Gala’s Dinners in 1973 that included 136 recipes by French chefs. This traveling exhibit features 12 lithographs that were released in conjunction with the book and are some of his most unique experimental prints.

Many artists work in multiple mediums, but for Lubbock-raised Terry Allen, music, performance, writing, and visual artwork are truly all part of the same practice. As a visual artist, he often creates immersive sculptural installations with an aspect of performance, incorporated through projections and video. For this ninth installment in the Blanton’s Contemporary Project series, Allen reveals a three-channel video installation and a related group of drawings.

Just so much citrus, you know?
