This is a group show by relay, begun in July of 2020 as a method of socially distancing a community in the height of the pandemic: Artists took turns alone in the space, each adding to the exhibition. Participate in Viva México: Kids' Art Contest
A visual arts contest for kids to create original works of art to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. Children ages 5-12 submit photos of their artwork, and images will be posted on the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center's Facebook and Instagram pages Sept. 12-18 and will be highlighted during the MACC's 16 de Septiembre event. Through Sept. 4, any child under the age of 19 may receive one breakfast and one lunch meal daily from Austin ISD, Monday-Thursday, with Fridays as the weekend meal distribution day.
