    All Together ATX Fund

    Austin Community Foundation and United Way for Greater Austin have begun a community-led philanthropic fund, dubbed All Together ATX, to support communities experiencing economic and health-related hardships caused by COVID-19 in the Austin metro area. Donate online; grant applications are open until April 17, and funds will be distributed beginning May 1.

    Austin Animal Center Updates

    Austin Animal Center is closed to the public until at least April 13, meaning they will not be able to take in or adopt out any animals during this time. Due to incredible community outreach, they no longer need fosters at this time, but check back in case that changes. See AAC's Facebook page for details as well as tips for reuniting lost animals with their families while AAC is closed, and remember, donations are always welcome.

    Austin Justice Coalition Art & Essay Contest

    A contest for young men of color grades 3-12 in Travis, Williamson and Hays counties. Winners from each division will receive a $75 award and an award-winning book of their choice. Also looking for community members to participate as volunteer judges; find details and apply online.

    Bead It has been providing Austinites with classes, jewelry supplies, and more since 2002. Now they're offering jewelry-making and meditation & crystal kits available to purchase online and work on at home. There's a beginner's box designed for ages 5 and up and several more options, and owner Ashley Schor is also available to create special orders based on your needs, because everyone can benefit from some meditation and a creative outlet right now.
