German thrash pioneers Kreator, still led by “Mille” Petrozza on 14th LP Gods of Violence from January, last played locally at Emo’s in 2012. Back then, the venue counted a sister club in what is now Come & Take It Live, a far more intimate space. Here, they’re wall-to-wall blitzkrieg as supported by Norwegian black metal vets 1349, New Orleans’ blackened death giants Goatwhore, and Mike Hill’s post-metal bruisers Tombs.
