ELECTION CENTRAL

March 6, 2018 Primary Election

March’s election is a primary election for next November’s mid-terms, meaning voters will only vote in a primary race to nominate one candidate from each political party. (Independent candidates can enter later.) That means that voters will be choosing candidates for both statewide and county races; everything from U.S. Senator to district clerk. Candidate filing began on Nov. 11 and continues through Dec. 11, at which point we’ll have a much better idea of who’ll be who on the March ballot. But you can visit the Texas Secretary of State’s website in the interim to see who’s already filed – go here, then click on the dialog box next to “county” and scroll down to Travis. And stick with us for more info as it rolls out.
