Texas Rollergirls: Fast in Slow Motion

High speed camera catches all the Roller Derby action

So the Texas Rollergirls are skating tonight. Not clear on what flat track Roller Derby is? Still not sure what it entails? Check out this latest footage, shot at 1,000 frames per second.

Shot on a Phantom HD camera out at Austin Studios, the footage catches the original modern derby league in full impact (check out Desi Cration's angry face at the 0.37 second mark.)

Find out more about tonight's bout here.

Texas Rollergirls championship play-offs, Sat., June 8, 5-10pm. $15 ($12 advance) Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez. www.texasrollergirls.org.
