Big Roller Derby news: On June 27 the Texas Rollergirls will be playing host to Baltimore's Charm City Roller Girls when the Texecutioners face the CCRG All Stars. But first, hometown champs Hotrod Honeys need your help getting to The City of Firsts.
On June 19, the Hotrods head east to take on CCRG's Female Trouble, but that kind of traveling takes cash. So on Saturday May 15, the ladies in pink and black are holding a fund-raising blackout scavenger hunt. Starting at 8pm at Corona Cafe (1215 Corona Drive), participants will have two hours to hit every stop and complete every task. The complication? You gotta do it on a bicycle.
Registration is $10, and there will be prizes from Ozone, Austinbikes, Clown Dog, Empire Bikes, East Side Pedal Pushers, Fast Folks, Freewheeling, Sholz Beer Garten and more. Sign-in starts at 7pm, or you can register in advance via the Texas Rollergirls' website using PayPal.
