Author S.L. Price's new book, Heart of the Game: Life, Death, and Mercy in Minor League Baseball, delves into the world of minor league baseball and small town America as seen through the eyes of former Round Rock Express player Mike Coolbaugh who was tragically killed by a foul ball while coaching first base for the Colorado Sky Sox, and Tino Sanchez, the man who hit the ball. This is what Darryl Strawberry has to say about the book, “S.L. Price gets what it means to be a ballplayer – I was reminded, as I read Heart of the Game, what baseball has meant to me. The story of Mike Coolbaugh's life and death will break your heart – and you won't ever look at the game in quite the same way." Price will be signing copies at the Round Rock Barnes & Noble Thu., May 14, 7pm. 2701 Parker Rd. Bldg. A #700, Round Rock, 512/600-0088.
