Aztex Announce USL-1 Schedule

The Austin Aztex released their 2009 schedule today

The Austin Aztex announced their 2009 USL-1 season schedule today. Some of the highlights:

• Thirty games, 15 at home (Nelson Field) …
• The opening game is Saturday, April 18, hosting the Minnesota Thunder at 7:30pm. In fact, the Aztex play eight of their first nine games at home, including three within the first eight days of the season. …
• The home finale is Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, at 6pm (though the team then ends the season with a tough Pacific Northwest road trip the following weekend to Portland and Vancouver). …
• Thirteen of the home games are Friday-Saturday-Sunday evenings; two of the Friday night games will be nationally televised on FSC: against the Puerto Rico Islanders May 8, and the Charleston Battery June 5.
