Anarchy Championship Wrestling comes back to Austin

The last couple of years have been pretty good for pro-wrestling fans in Austin. From the national promotions, WWE Raw sold out the Erwin Center, TNA Wrestling and ECW had some of their first under-the-radar brand-building house shows here. But the local scene is getting a big boost from Anarchy Championship Wrestling, which holds its next bi-monthly Austin event this Saturday.

The top of the eight-match card features some serious names from the indie wrestling scene. Underground superstar Chris Hero will be back in the house to face ACW heavyweight champion "Mr. Showtime" Scot Summers, almost a year to the day after his brutal ACW debut against Masada. That's equaled by a high-profile women's match with former WCW cruiserweight champion "The Queen of Scream" Daffney against ACW regular "Miss Diss_Lexia" Alexia Amberglen.

The event kicks off at 7pm, Saturday, July 19 at the Dove Springs Recreation Center. Doors 6:15pm, tickets $15 for front row reserved, $10 general admission, $8 under 12s.
