Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest

Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest

It'd been real quiet out there on the local competitive eating circuit – a little too quiet. Now, just in time for the first scorching day of summer, comes the return of ilovemikelitt's Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest. During last year's inaugural event, 40 contestants wolfed down 600 dogs. Saturday at Scholz Garten promises double that. Roll solo or get a partner and compete in the "doubles" category. If you've still got a gag reflex and just want to watch, the $5 cover gets you a free veggie dog and bottomless ice cream from local creamery NadaMoo (while supplies last). Competition starts at 2pm. Visit www.ilovemikelitt.com to sign up.
