Wanna Hang Out While We Watch Miss Congeniality?

Don't be fashionably late for this week's livetweet!

No one has ever accused the Chronicle of being fashion-forward. But we know that good taste and a good laugh never goes out of style. That's why we've picked Miss Congeniality as this week's title for our live tweet-a-long.

Truth be told, we were going to spring a surprise title on you, but we just got some exciting news about the movie we were going to select, so that's going to have to wait for another day (coming really, really soon).

So, we were sorting through our closets for a replacement title and we thought, "Hey, what happened when Miss New Jersey had to drop out in Miss Congeniality? Yeah, that's right, Sandra Bullock stepped into the breach!"

Well, if it's good enough for the FBI trying to track down a mad bomber who is trying to take down a beauty pageant, it's more than good enough for us right now. So this week we'll be livetweeting Miss Congeniality, the 2000 hit starring Bullock, Benjamin Pratt, Michael Caine, William Shatner, and a host of Austin locations including the newly-opened Austin studios.

So, by now you should know the drill. Thursday night, 8:30pm Central, we'll be putting on our tiaras and firing up the old tweetbox: Follow screens editor Richard Whittaker on Twitter @YorkshireTX), and join in using the hashtag #NowStreamingInAustin or #MissCongeniality.
