Rooster Teeth Raises $1.2 Million for Dell Children's

Extra Life fundraiser blasts through million dollar goal

All in a good cause: Team Rooster Teeth put it all on the line for their Extra Life annual streaming charity event, and raised $1.2 million for Dell Children's

RT Extra Life, the annual fundraising event for the Extra Life charity and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas run by Austin's Rooster Teeth studio, has raised over $1.2 million in this year's 24-hour streaming marathon.

The annual event ran this last weekend, 8am Saturday to 8am Sunday, and once the totals were all counted up, and the last change scraped out from under the couch, the RT crew raised a grand total of $1,222,371. That included $891,612 in viewer donations, sales of special edition merchandise created by superstar designer Aaron Draplin, plus a company matching donation from RT itself.

That brings the total raised by RT Extra Life over the last seven years to over $6 million, and $40 million in total by the national Extra Life charity. Of course, the local event came with that traditional Rooster Teeth panache that involved paintballs, absurdly hot corn chips, neon paintballs, risk of injury for comedic and charity purposes, adorable dogs, more paintballs, and the musical stylings of Chief Content Officer Matt Hullum.

For those of you that couldn't make it through the entire 24 extravaganza, here's two hours of the best moments. You can also still make donations via
