Transylvanian Treats This Weekend

Jo's Coffee, Amy's Ice Creams celebrate Hotel Transylvania 3

Austin's bats are getting a visit from their international cousins this weekend, as the characters from Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation are stopping by for a flap.

In advance of the film's opening on July 13, two of the city's best-known purveyors of cooling concoctions are celebrating their arrival with special chilly surprises. Amy's Ice Creams are offering the Monster’s Surprise Combo (belgian chocolate or sweet cream, with homemade strawberry sauce and gummy fangs). If you want to sample it under the wings of Mavis, Dracula, and new character Ericka, the characters will be at Amy's Central locations (3500 Guadalupe) today, Friday, June 1, 4:30-5:30pm, then in Bee Cave (13420 Galleria Circle) on Sunday, 1-2pm.

For the adults among us, swing by Jo's Coffee (1300 S. Congress), Saturday 10-11:30am, where the Drac pack will be pouring out Drac's Juice (cherry syrup over frozen lemonade).

That's just part of the Tepes family tour this weekend: look for them at the Alamo Drafthouse Mueller, Zilker Park Railway, Big Top Candy, and other iconic Austin locations all through Sunday.
