Let the announcements commence! SXSW Interactive continues building buzz for the March festival with the opening keynote reveal and other big names in the realm of business, innovation, technology, and whatever else you might interact with.
Casey Gerald was barely a blip on anyone’s screen two years ago. But his positive message about the power of business to change the world has made him as much of a self-help guru as a business leader. The company Casey founded, MBAs Across America, hopes to bring America into the future by leveraging entrepreneurial innovation. If his keynote is anything like his address to Harvard Business school in 2014, SXSW Interactive is in for quite a wake-up call.
The rest of the announced speakers are as follows:
Jim Bankoff: Chairman and CEO of Vox Media
Anthony Bourdain: You know, the guy who was once a lowly foodie who pretty much turned himself into a minor deity and life coach
Stewart Butterfield: Co-founder of hot shit social media site Slack
Kimberly Bryant: Founder and executive director of Black Girls CODE
Jane Park: Founder and CEO of Julep Beauty
Danae Ringelmann: Co-founder of Indiegogo
Maria Teresa Kumar: President and CEO of Voto Latino.
Meredith Perry: CEO and Founder of uBeam which will hopefully discover the way to wireless device charging.
John Underkoffler: CEO of Oblong Industries which rethinks computer interfaces, because shouldn’t my tech be reading my mind already?
