Their seared beef tongue sandwich was dubbed by Travel Channel's Adam Richman as "One of the Best Sandwiches in America." The Noble Sandwich Co. wants to keep their place in the Austin culinary world with a new locale.

Co-owners, co-chefs, and best buds John Bates and Brandon Martinez opened their humble doors in 2010 in far Northwest Austin, and now they're a hop and a skip away from opening their second location on Burnet Road. (Incidentally, one of last month's Kickstart Your Weekend projects was also in the Rosedale neighborhood, and funded through the same platform.) The pair are adding six new culinary sandwich creations to their already intimidating menu. Other new features include online ordering, pick-up ordering, and a full breakfast menu – everything to suit your fancy.

However, Bates and Martinez need support to put the finishing touches on the new space. They have started a campaign on Greenman to purchase specialty equipment and to restore a vintage Dr Pepper sign.

Pledge values range from $35 to $5,000, and backers can receive everything from Noble Sandwich Co. swag to private dinners and lifetime discounts. As of this writing, the effort has raised nearly $10,000 from 53 supporters with just shy of two weeks left to reach their goal of $40,000.

Check out their story below.
