We're used to pretty wildly varying news coming across our desks, but this fearsome foursome has to take the cake.

• Season two of TLC's Secret Princes, "which follows four royal bachelors who are on a valiant mission to meet their very own American princess," premieres this Friday, Oct. 25, 9pm CT. Three important things to note here: 1) There's seriously a show in which rich royal dudes go princess-hunting. 2) It was sufficiently popular to merit a second season. 3) They hit Austin for this round. How did we miss this?

• On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, next month marks the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, but while everybody's still busy talking about Peter Capaldi taking over as the 12th Doctor, we're actually just as interested in who's behind the lens for his debut. Ben Wheatley (A Field in England) is set to direct two episodes of the new season.

• We're already gearing up for awards season, and we're delighted to find another awards show has decided to go with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. Just as Neil Patrick Harris is the best thing to ever happen to the Tony Awards, the Golden Globes folks can't deny that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler sent the celebration of all things TV to a six-year high: The duo will be back for the next two years, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

• There's a new network game in town – or at least, headquartered here. TV Scout officially launched in Fresno, Calif., over the summer, and they've picked up two more markets in three months. Their product is specifically designed to deliver the same sort of program grids that cable and satellite subscribers have long enjoyed to so-called "over-the-air viewers."
