Local Short Mocks Horror Movie Tropes

What would happen if characters made smart decisions?

Local Short Mocks Horror Movie Tropes

Just when you thought it was safe to travel into the woods or confront a guy with a chainsaw or explore that abandoned mental asylum, the would-be victims start making intelligent decisions. So goes the premise for Joe Nicolosi's latest comedic short video.

You've probably seen some of Joe Nicolosi's work. He's gaining a reputation as a viral video whisperer, and his recent horror movie mock trailer, "Hell No," is only solidifying that rep.

He was one of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces to Watch and is the director behind the Mario Bros. live-action trailer, the Matrix summary as remembered by his mom, and the in-depth look into the world of cat videos.

The Austin Chronicle is even quoted in the fake trailer. We're happy to give imaginary praise where it's due. "Hell No" premiered as a Midnight Short at SXSW last year, but now it's on YouTube and ready to be watched. And you should. Right now.
