Mondo Gallery and artist Mike Mitchell have brewed up something gourmet. Let's just say, it ain't some freeze-dried Taster's Choice, and we have an exclusive first sip for you.

This Friday, April 26, Mitchell's new one man show of cinematic portraits opens at Mondo's space on Guadalupe, and they've sent us this first peek of one piece: Quentin Tarantino in his finest ratty old dressing gown as Pulp Fiction's grumbling master of caffeine, Jimmie Dimmick.

Mitchell is a Mondo regular. For their high-profile Game of Thrones show, he caught the inner lion of the battle-scarred Tyrion Lannister, but he also provided some classic prints from Adventure Time, The Iron Giant and ET: The Extraterrestrial.

For this show, Mondo is promising "30-ish" brand new works by Mitchell and, as always, expect the print editions to fly off the racks. OMGPosters.com has already revealed two other characters: Steve Buscemi as Mr Pink, and Min-sik Choi as Dae-su Oh, the vengeance-fueled kinda-hero of Oldboy. Mitchell is promising that the other portraits will sweep from the iconic to lesser known but still captivating characters.

Mitchell's show runs from April 26 to May 25 at the Mondo Gallery, 4115 Guadalupe. Visit www.mondotees.com for more info. For more on Mondo, read "Mondo's Big Picture", March 29, 2013.
