Local teens on TV

Local teens star in reality series, ENDURANCE: Fiji.

Leslie Powell and Andres Ramirez can now be seen beyond the hallways of their local high schools, as they are now starring in Endurance: Fiji on the Discovery Kids Channel.

The two 15 year-olds were selected from thousands of entrants in an online poll hosted by DiscoveryKids. Powell and Ramirez will compete, along with 14 other contestants, in a variety of physical and mental challenges for, what one imagines, are fabulous prizes and the chance to say "I have endurance!" Probably not, but you get the idea. Powell is a student at Westwood High in Round Rock. Ramirez attends Stephen F. Austin High. Endurance: Fiji airs on Saturday at 7:30am and 10:30am. Check local listings for additional airtimes.
