Bloggin' About Bloggin'
Gay bloggers. Oh yeah.

Inspiration? Sez Joe from Joe.My.God: "I am continually torn between my distaste for the rise in PC culture and my desire to see those that bad-mouth gay people get punished," he says. "For example, the silly punishments meted out on students who say, 'That's so gay,' versus Ann Coulter's usage of 'faggot'."

Pardon Me, Mz. Parton?
What's more a-buzz than a bug swarm in Locust Ridge, Tenn.? Dolly Parton fessin' up to some hot yummers same-on-same-on action -- ahem, we mean, that she shared in an interview that she sometimes has lesbian fantasies. When she's luvin' up on her husband, no less.

HRC: Hillary Resists Clarity
And so does Obama.

In the recent wake of Gen. Peter Pace's redorkulous comments deeming homosexuality an "immoral act," our superstar candidates are tongue-tied.

First, Hillary sidesteps the question. Then, Obama pretends not to hear it. Edwards, well, he's a little worried about his family.

So, here we are, facing another election and watching it get tooth-and-nail between the candidates. Isn't it refreshing that the real issues - like gay sex and pride parades - aren't being washed out by insignificant distractions like that measly little war in Iraq, the polar division of our country, or global warming?

Packing the 'Cock
Not referring to a softy in yer shorts, no, but rather the reunion. Sigh. It's been way too long. Coochie Coo is back.

(Say it to all the babies.) Join Kitty and the rest of the Ultra-Ultra's for cocktail, cock-talk, and maybe a Kate or two at the puffiest bar in town.

Tonight, dammit!

Thursday, March 29, 8pm, the Peacock Lounge, 515 Pedernales.

Straight Panic: Thin Ice
I liked Creative Loafing Atlantan Curt Holman's think piece about the recent media obsession with Straight Panic (the desperate need to not be perceived as gay) so much that I commented on it.

You know, you can do that with stories online …

Hey Ex-Husband: Can You Spare Some (Sex) Change?
A judge in Clearwater, Fla., ruled in favor of FTM transgender dude Julio (nee Julia) Roberto Silverwolf to continue receiving agreed upon alimony payments from ex-spouse Lawrence Roach:

"Circuit Judge Jack R. St. Arnold … ruled that in the eyes of the law, nothing changed significantly enough to free Roach from his $1,250-a-month obligation."

Well, duh. It's not like Silverwolf's new manself will be released from any car payments or house payments or contracts or debts he incurred from back in his Julia days, now, will he?

Art's Alarm Clock Role
Little late to be marking the 24th year after the passing of Peter Ivers, but we were thinking about him and invite you to, too. Indulge us, will you? Ivers was the man behind the Lady in the Radiator (David Lynch's Eraserhead) and early-Eighties late-night TV savior, New Wave Theater on USA Network's NightFlight.

Circumstances surrounding Ivers' murder in March 1983 still remain a mystery.

Treehuggin' Juice-sippers
'Twas the perfect weather to hold on for dear life on the back of a friend's Vespa and take a ride to Daily Juice for a Marigold dosage. (Take one and call me in the morn.)

In the sunshine, outside, I squeezed the disposable cup tightly, slurping up this moment of mango beauty.

Then, written in green scroll on this what I thought to be "plastic" cup: "100% Bio-degradable. Made of Corn."

Now, that is beautiful. There's hope for us yet.

Classical Music Is for Sissies
What do the composers Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Samuel Barber, and Leonard Bernstein all have in common?

They all think it's pretty stuffy in the glass closet that continues to be perpetuated by historians so afraid to mention the unmentionable.

They were queer. (And brilliant.)
