The AggreGAYtor: October 27

By David Estlund, October 27, 2014, 11:00am, Qmmunity

Federal employee benefits roll out, a "legit cowboy" shows us how it's done, and President Carter somehow remains the forgotten chief, as your AggreGAYtor considers Amanda Leporeism as hir new religion.

The Good

The federal government has come through on marriage recognition in 32 states and D.C.

This Texas cowboy just made us all feel a little safer in our own state.

President Bill Clinton encourages us to come out, come out, wherever we are.

Yesterday was Intersex Awareness Day, reminding us to remember that some of us live outside of the binary, not through conscious rebellion, but because they were born that way.

Some pro-LGBTQ Kansans are fighting tooth and nail for equality, and they’re being profiled at Salon.

DJ Sprinkles has a thing or two to teach us about House Music’s roots.

While President Jimmy Carter "personally think[s] it is very fine for gay people to be married in civil ceremonies," he doesn’t think marriage equality should come through the federal government. But we couldn’t list this as bad news because, “When [he] was in the White House… we never fired a bullet; we never dropped a bomb; we never launched a missile."

The Bad

Noted glass artist Reji Thomas is booted out of her own building, Pine Street Station, the home of many a Queerbomb (among other LGBTQ community events). If landowner Capital Metro hasn't yet changed the locks, she may still need help moving her 35 years worth of history.

Ukrainian rebels hate the gays as much as Russians, and they’re ready to act.

The Fugly

Serbia’s anti-gay community keeps it real.
