Where the Girls Go/ATX: 21 Days to Halloween Edition

By Sarah Marloff, October 10, 2014, 12:45pm, Qmmunity

It’s no secret that Where the Girls Go loves Halloween. We’ve been talking about it for months. Personally, only Pride compares to All Hallows Eve, and luckily for me – and you – Austin feels the same. So forget about AMC’s FearFest and Walking Dead marathons, this weekend starts our very own October scarefest. Get ready for chills, thrills, and killer QTs.

Friday: The grrrls of Poo Poo Platter get ghoulish tonight as they offer up tribute to the horror movie gods. They’ve got a whole crew of queens ready to tantalize and terrorize the patrons of Elysium.

Suggestion: When the show ends, go hard for gory dancing with GirlFriend and ScareCrowOnFire.

Saturday: Get your daily dose of awesome and kive during daylight hours today at Resistencia Bookstore. Mujeres Mercado and Krudas Cubensi are joining forces for an epic daytime fair of sorts. Expect handmade goods, healers, and a fab lineup of queer music from dj.ang.g to Krudas Cubensi.

Suggestion: Celebrating love will erase Friday night's fear.

Sunday: Sundays are clearly the new Saturday, because today's lineup is epic. Between Sade Sundays (GirlFriend's newest residency at Vinyl) and Queeraoke with Murrah Noble at Cheer Up Charlie's tonight's a full slate of fabulous.

Suggestion: Get sassy in the mic, then take down to sultry at Vinyl. Their tagline says it best: #SinNowPayLater.

Whatever your gay taste, the Gay Place has you covered. And, fear not, or fear more, Where the Girls Go gets witchy later this month. Wait for it.
