The AggreGAYtor: May 1

By David Estlund, May 1, 2014, 9:30am, Qmmunity

Texas college culture proves nice for faculty, the White House deports queer immigrants nonstop, and a shop in Kentucky will go out of business soon and gain a national platform in the process, as your AggreGAYtor inquires about the status of your genitalia.

The Good

TCU and Texas A&M have been perfectly cordial to a gay athletic administrator’s coming out.

OMG we sound totes gay, but that’s okay.

The Bad

The Senate has blocked raising the minimum wage, which would have helped an awful lot of LGBTQ folks.

The White House is still carrying out record-level deportations, but these LGBTQ activists are fighting back.

The shooting of this trans woman is a perfect example of why the fight against transphobia is a life-and-death battle.

The Fugly

The GOP may be taking baby steps away from marriage inequality, but they’re still using anti-gay attacks when it suits them.

A Kentucky shop’s crazed ideology will likely drive it out of business, but for now, that’s free speech for ya.
