Mo' Music: February 19

Shake it to the latest in new tunes

Mo' Music: February 19

Get into the pre-conference groove with some new music.

"Boys in the Wood" Black Lips
Homoerotic rockers Black Lips return with a swaggering, drug-fueled new song and skeezy video to match. Their new album Underneath the Rainbow is out on March 18. Looks like they will be around for SXSW, as well. Check out their live show. It is hella fun.

"Jerk Ribs" Kelis
The elusive Kelis is back with with a funky, hearty new taste of her new album Food, out April 21. Yum. For more tasty treats check out her Cooking Channel special Saucy and Sweet on February 26, 8:30pm.

"Snake Bile Wine" Simian Mobile Disco
Speaking of food, SMD are back with with another delicacy-inspired dance track. While their sound is still getting a little bit generic the higher BPM makes this their most enjoyable track in recent memory.

"Once Upon a Dream" Lana Del Rey
Lana-banana is the perfect match for this swoony love song. Despite an awkward bridge where she doesn't seem to be trying at all, this track is an elegant winner.

"Into the Blue" Kylie Minogue
This track is pretty basic pop, but something about her winning personality and lack of raunchy influence win me over. Her new LP, Kiss Me Once is out March 17.
