This month's Homo Arigato! speaks the language of German love and lust

DJs Young Creature and Mouthfeel branch into the visual with the monthly queer film series at the Alamo, Homo Arigato! This month's feature wanders a world of women, wigs, and wonderment: Rainer Werner Fassbinder's The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant.
The Alamo and Homo Arigato! bill the Fassbinder frolic as, "A masochistic, claustrophobic, and melodramatic glimpse of German fashion world lesbians in the early Seventies – told as only a cocaine-addled leather daddy could do it."
The 1972 film follows Petra, a celebrated fashion designer who lives with her devoted assistant Marlene, who bears the brunt of her boss' masochistic moods. Petra meets a sexy young 23-year-old named Karin, and her obsession with possessing the the heart and soul of the pretty young thing grows. As it does, relationship dynamics shift, and it is the powerful Petra who finds herself in the subservient position.
Oooh, flipping!
Between the drama, the sexy cast, and Petra's stellar collection of wigs, a good time seems fairly sure to be had by all.
Homo Arigato! The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant plays tonight, Monday, January 27, 10:30pm, at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz, 320 E. Sixth.
